As it completes a year of operations through Puducherry airport, IndiGo has said that it would continue to operate scheduled services aligned with demand trends and operational requirements.
IndiGo, which commenced operations from Puducherry on December 20, 2024, operates 14 weekly flights from Puducherry, connecting the city with Bengaluru and Hyderabad, two key regional hubs enabling onward travel across India and international destinations.
In a press note, the airline said the regular and reliable air connectivity from Puducherry provided over the past year had catered to travel needs of residents, students, professionals and tourists in a region with historically constrained air services.
In particular, air connectivity has strengthened Puducherry’s tourism and service economy, hospitality and retail sectors and local enterprises benefiting from improved access to national markets, IndiGo said.
