Leo Full Moon – Stand Alone

The sign of Leo is about confidence, leadership, sovereignty and passion. Leo is led by the heart, rather than the head.
There truly is an unapologetic energy that comes with Leo. To understand Leo, it helps to think about its ruler, the Sun. Whether you catch the sunrise or not, whether you catch rays all day or whether it is pouring with rain – the Sun still rises in the east and sets in the west. The Sun, like Leo, does what it does, whether we watch or not, like the fixed sign that Leo is.

The Sun is the great leader of the sky. Right now, the Full Moon builds in the sign of the Sun and it is standing alone. Just like you have to do when you take rightful action, choose to stand apart from the crowd or make choices whether they are easy or not.

Full Moons always oppose the Sun. This lunation isn’t just opposing the Sun in Aquarius – a fixed air sign, but a total of 5 planets – the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Pluto.

The Leo / Aquarius axis activates themes of belonging to a group or a collective versus what it means to stand alone. What does it mean to follow your heart (Leo) versus your head (Aquarius)? This axis represents the fine line between what it means to be accepted or rejected.

We are on the precipice of some major astrological transits that will reshape reality and redefine structures over the next several years. This Full Moon will spotlight these impending changes and the way in which you position yourself among them.

While this Leo Full Moon isn’t an eclipse, it will spotlight and illuminate and area of your life that will become activated by eclipses over the next couple of years. It would be ideal to observe your own thoughts and feelings as well as events now. They will provide insight into what is to come.

With so much pressure to think or say certain things and not think or say certain other things, this Full Moon may provide a moment of illumination and clarification.

At the time of the Full Moon, Uranus, the planet of rebellion, authenticity and change stations direct for the final time in Taurus. Feelings of restlessness or irritability may be a signal to activate a last-ditch attempt to make some real and authentic changes or choices you’ve been holding back on.

The Leo Full Moon is a call to break the rules, take the lead, free yourself from group think and to not bow down to thoughts, ideas or opinions that are not your own. So while there may be a lot of external pressure to go one way, can you put your hand on your heart and choose the path that is right for you?
