March 1–25, 2026
Venus will move into Pisces — her sign of exaltation — late in the evening on March 1st, and she will stay through March 25th. I want to tell you right up front: this will be one of the most welcome transits we have this month, and given everything else going on in the sky, we are genuinely going to need it.
March 2026 will be a difficult month astrologically. Mercury will be retrograde in Aquarius from mid-February, scrambling communications, muddling decisions, and making even the simplest exchanges feel like swimming upstream. That retrograde fog won’t lift until March 20th — which means Venus will arrive nearly three weeks before Mercury clears its shadow and starts flowing forward again. Think of her as a lamp someone will bring into a room that has been sitting in the dark. She won’t solve every problem, but her arrival will change the quality of the air entirely.
In Pisces, Venus will be at her most exalted and pure. The ancient seers understood that for love to truly flow, it must be free of the critical mind — and in Pisces, released from Virgo’s sharp discrimination, Venus will finally be able to express her deepest nature. She will no longer be tangled in analysis or practicality. In Pisces, her highest dharma will emerge: desiring truth over sensual pleasure, and moving toward a wisdom as profound as Jupiter himself. This will be Venus at her most mystical and her most powerful.
Venus is far more than the planet of romance and beauty — though she rules both. She is a Guru planet in her own right. In her highest expression, she materializes the spiritual essence of the human being and brings spirituality into the material world. She governs wealth, Lakshmi’s blessings, poetry, beautiful clothes, the fine arts, and music. She is the teacher who guides those caught in material existence toward something greater. While she begins with pleasure and abundance, she does not stop there — she ultimately leads the soul toward the Divine. I explore her deeper mysteries at length in my book Signs of Life from the Zodiac, for those of you who want to go deeper into what makes Venus such a remarkable and often underestimated planet.
A Softening Influence on Saturn
Saturn will be moving through Pisces throughout this entire period, and if you have been feeling the weight of that — the heaviness, the sense of responsibility pressing down, the tendency toward isolation or quiet melancholy — Venus’s arrival will offer real relief. The ancient wisdom is clear: the antidote for Saturn is always Venus. Relationships, beauty, singing, music, good food, and dance all help lighten Saturn’s burden.
Where Saturn in Pisces may have been pulling you toward seriousness and deep introspection, Venus will invite you to allow some grace and warmth back in. This is not an excuse to abandon your discipline — Saturn will still demand that you do the work. But you will be able to do the work while also allowing yourself a piece of music you love, time with someone who matters to you, a meal shared with friends. Venus and Saturn are actually great friends in Vedic astrology — Venus reminds Saturn that hard work must be accompanied by good relationship skills and lightness, while Saturn reminds Venus that a bit of discipline balances sensual indulgence. In Pisces, these two planets together will create a rare and productive polarity: Saturn will call us toward spiritual depth and responsibility, and Venus will call us toward love and beauty — and in the sign of the mystic fish, both will ultimately be pointing in the same direction.
Watch the Window: March 5–7
The one period to navigate carefully during this transit will be March 5th through 7th, when Venus will come into conjunction with both Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. This will be a layered, complex influence. Saturn’s heaviness and Neptune’s tendency toward dissolution and confusion will converge with Venus’s warmth and love. You may notice during these days that emotions feel more tender than usual, that boundaries in relationships feel less defined, or that a kind of wistful longing arises that is difficult to name. Neptune, when strong, can blur our discrimination and invite escapism — and conjunct Venus, there will be some risk of idealizing relationships or situations, seeing what we wish were there rather than what actually is.
This will not be a dangerous window, but it will call for gentle awareness. Stay grounded in your meditation and spiritual practice during these days especially. Do not make major relationship decisions or financial commitments while the fog is at its thickest. Let the feelings move through you without acting on them immediately. By March 8th the window will pass and Venus will continue her beautiful, largely unafflicted journey through Pisces.
How This Transit Will Affect You by Rising Sign
Taurus Rising: This will be one of the finest windows of the month for you. Venus as your ascendant lord will transit your 11th house, bringing the promise of new friendships, fulfillment of desires, and strong income potential. Allow yourself to receive what arrives.
Libra Rising: Venus will bring a pleasant overall tone, but be mindful with your health — particularly a tendency toward overindulgence in sweets or sensual pleasures. A little discipline will keep the positive energies flowing without creating problems.
Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius Rising: You will benefit from what is called a Malavya Yoga in transit — Venus exalted in an angular house from your ascendant. This will support home, happiness, and career simultaneously. March should feel noticeably more supportive across multiple areas of life for these four rising signs.
Aries Rising: Watch your spending. Venus transiting your 12th house will mean expenditures may climb, and with Neptune in the mix during March 5–7, impulsive or unclear financial decisions will be worth guarding against. Be intentional with money this month.
Scorpio Rising: Venus will transit your 5th house, which governs children, creativity, and investments. There may be some tension or unexpected developments in these areas — stay measured and avoid speculation during the Neptune window.
Let Venus Work for You
Mercury retrograde will continue until March 20th, meaning for the first two-thirds of this Venus transit, communications and plans will still be subject to revision and misunderstanding. Use Venus’s beautiful energy for creative work, for deepening relationships, for rest and artistic expression — but hold off on signing contracts or making major commitments until Mercury goes direct. Let the two energies complement each other: Venus will create the warmth and the inspiration; Mercury, once direct, will help you act on it with clarity.
As always, every chart is unique. If you are running a Venus dasha or sub-period, or if you have Venus natally placed in Pisces, this transit will feel especially alive and activated for you.
The planets are not your enemies — they are teachers. And right now, Venus is preparing to teach us that even in difficult times, beauty is available. Even when Saturn is heavy and Mercury is scrambled, love can flow. That is worth receiving.
