Millions of people psychologically identify themselves through their careers and economic usefulness. “I am a teacher.” “I am a designer.” “I am a lawyer.” “I am a driver.” Yet artificial intelligence threatens to destabilise the relationship between labour, identity, survival, and meaning itself. Entire industries may become algorithmically compressed. Governments will struggle to manage populations facing economic redundancy, social instability, information warfare, deepfake manipulation, psychological exhaustion, and constant technological acceleration.

Religious systems may fracture into fear-driven reactions, techno-spiritual cults, synthetic mysticism, anti-technology fundamentalism, or even forms of AI worship.
