This week’s plant will be familiar to anyone who has a garden with a herbaceous border. We are at a critical point where a well-know species is escaping the comfort of its many garden residences and ‘going wild’. But do not be alarmed, it is unlikely to ever become an invasive pest; rather, it looks like becoming a benign alien that will become a familiar part of our urban flora. Inflorescence visited by butterfly (Large White, Pieris brassicae). Image: Chris Jeffree. Verbena bonariensis is a South American plant that reached Britain in 1726. It was first grown in a private…

Researchers at Yale School of Medicine (YSM) are drawing attention to a powerful and preventable factor in cardiovascular disease. Their findings suggest that improving sleep may play a much larger role in protecting heart health than many people realize. In a study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, scientists analyzed data from nearly 1 million post-9/11 U.S. veterans. They discovered that adults who have both insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea face a significantly higher risk of high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease compared with those who have only one of the conditions. This combination, called comorbid insomnia…
Drawing of Tuataras by Mary Edith Durham (1863-1944) for Hans Gadow’s volume Amphibia and Reptilesin the Cambridge Natural History series of 1901The most likely introduction to the Tuatara (Sphenodon punctatus), that sole living survivor of an ancient reptilian group the Rhynchocephalia, to anybody studying zoology in the last century was by means of its skull. The reason why zoology departments had a tuatara skull was because it exhibits two holes on either side—the diapsid or ‘two arches’ condition—that was used as a key feature in the classification of reptiles. The skull would have to do. The chances of seeing a live…

India’s political opposition has warned that democracy is under threat amid a controversial exercise to revise the voter register across the country, which critics say will disenfranchise minority voters and entrench the power of the ruling Narendra Modi government. An debate erupted in India’s parliament last week over the special intensive revision (SIR) process, which is taking place in nine states and three union territories, in one of the biggest revisions of the country’s electoral roll in decades.Ostensibly a bureaucratic exercise to update the lists of citizens eligible to vote, India’s opposition leaders have instead alleged the SIR is being used…
They are beautiful flowers Fuchsia magellanica flowersFuchsias are a group of some 105 species, native mostly to South America, in the evening primrose family, Onagraceae. Fuchsia was named by French botanist and missionary to the Caribbean, Charles Plumier (1646-1704, biography) for the prominent German botanist Leonhard Fuchs (1501-1566 biography). Although sometimes called lady’s eardrops, usually the common name and the scientific name are the same, Fuchsia. But English speakers struggle trying to say “foock see a,” partly because it is hard to say, partly because the preteen in us giggles like crazy saying Fuchs, so is usually pronounced “few sha”, leading to all…

Yours truly in front of a life-sized model of a giant prehistoric scorpion, on exhibition at London’s Natural History Museum when I visited in 2014 (© Dr Karl Shuker) North America’s largest known native species of scorpion is the desert hairy scorpion Hadrurus arizonensis, indigenous to the deserts of the southwestern USA as well as Utah and Nevada, and can attain a total length of up to 5.5 in (14 cm). Imagine my surprise, therefore, when on 9 November 2025 I received a fascinating email from Richard ‘Rick’ Stross, containing two first-hand eyewitness accounts by him of seeing apparent giant…
‘Bergziegen (Mountain Goat)’ By Franz Marc 1913 {{PD}} The Aries Point (00 of Aries) gets hyped as the ‘Fame Point’, how you may be publicly acclaimed, but I think we need a broader (and so more applicable) lens through which to interpret it: it’s the point in the chart designating where and how (by House and aspects) one ‘meets’ the world–that is, enters into the sphere beyond the Self–and in being so suggests a constant about each individual, a statement: here’s where I start; within the essence of who I am, here’s what I bring to humanity. Now we have…
In Ayurveda, the skin-gut connection emphasizes that imbalances in digestive fire, known as Agni, can trigger acne and skin disorders. Poor digestion disrupts toxin elimination, leading to the accumulation of Ama, a toxic byproduct that negatively affects skin health. When Agni is compromised, nutrient assimilation falters, promoting inflammation and breakouts. If you are struggling with persistent issues, visiting a reputable Ayurvedic hospital in vizag can help you identify the specific imbalances in your constitution. By restoring digestive balance through holistic practices, individuals can enhance their skin wellness. Discover additional insights on nurturing Agni for clearer skin.Understanding the Concept of Agni…

If you were the vicar of a rural parish in the early 20th century, what would you get up to? Your priorities, of course, would be performing the obligatory baptisms, marriages and funerals, visiting the sick and ministering to your flock. However, alongside your pastoral duties, you might find time for a hobby or two. From the 18th century onward, many priests enjoyed ‘botanising’, and contributed to the sum of scientific knowledge by their detailed observations of the natural world. One of the most famous is Gilbert White, whose journal of plants and wildlife in his parish of Selbourne is…

This week, I had to fix some equipment. It wasn’t a big fix; a lever had fallen out of alignment with its little sensor and needed to be moved 2 mm back in place so the software would stop claiming that the lever had vanished from the face of the earth. This fix took me around 4 hours, divided up into: opening the box (3 minutes), moving the sensor (30 seconds), watching one of the screws fall onto the floor (5 seconds), scrabbling around trying to find the stupid screw (3 hours, 56 minutes and 35 seconds… ish). No time…

Every treatment at Shathayu Retreat is carefully chosen. As a result, they form a complete method of reaching the body, mind, and inner energy. Over time, each visit supports stability and growing vitality. Below are some of the Therapies used in Naturopathic Treatment. 1. Acupuncture: Acupuncture involves the careful placement of thin needles throughout the body. Since they emphasize pressure points, they can affect how blood circulates. While stimulation occurs, nerves may respond differently. Although energy is hard to measure, practitioners believe it travels along specific paths. Most of us are familiar with Maria Wirth, the German author who has made Bharat her home and is spiritually connected with Bharat. Her latest offering answers a fundamental question I’ve often asked myself (as would have many common Hindus) – why do Hindu Dharma & Hindus receive hatred from all quarters? Once we answer this question we shall understand how to deal with forces hostile to Hindu Dharma. Maria Wirth’s latest book is a guide in ShatrubodhCommunists, Christian Evangelists, and Islamists are at the forefront of defaming and demonizing Hindu Dharma. I would add HINOs (Hindus in Name only)…
Amos crossing a bridge on the Chuck Keiper TrailWhat a joy it was to walk, simply walk, following a singular route for over twenty miles. Since I last wrote we have hiked the eastern loop of the Chuck Keiper Trail. The southern part of this loop is also included in the PAW Mega Loop. This is a very lightly traveled trail located in remote Sproul State Forest. Sproul State Forest is the largest state forest in the state, spanning 305,000 acres. It is also home to not only the usual woodland creatures such as a healthy bear population, but elk.…

A former coal-mining village on Vancouver Island is exploring an unexpected path to clean energy: using the water pooled in a sprawling network of abandoned mine tunnels beneath the town. Credit: Shutterstock Cumberland is testing whether its abandoned coal mines can become a town-wide geothermal network that supports redevelopment, economic growth, and lower emissions. Cumberland, B.C. was built on coal mining—both literally and practically. For more than 80 years, the industry shaped the village’s economy and identity, employing thousands of workers and exporting millions of tonnes of coal. When the mines closed, they left behind vast underground workings and a…

Abstract Inula racemosa Hook. f., commonly known as Pushkarmool, is an important medicinal perennial herb belonging to the family Asteraceae. It is primarily distributed in the temperate alpine regions of the Himalayas, ranging from Kashmir to Kumaon and extending from Afghanistan to Central Nepal, typically at altitudes between 1,500 and 4,200 meters above sea level. The plant thrives particularly well in cold, arid environments of the north-western Himalayas, especially at elevations of 2,700–3,500 meters. Due to its extensive medicinal value and commercial demand, Pushkarmool has gained significant importance in traditional medicine systems, though its natural populations are now considered critically…
Biblical flood caused by the cosmic hit of the Mahabharata period? It seems so: the Biblical flood was caused by a cosmic hit during the Mahābhārata period. This is discussed in the 33rd part of the Mahābhārata series. Let’s begin from the impact regions mentioned by Vyāsa: he said the thousands of peaks of Kailāsa and Mandara mountains in the Himālayas exploded with a huge sound and started falling down. Interestingly, Langtang Peak near Kailāsa has scientifically proven evidence of an asteroid hit on its peak, causing an explosion that resulted in rockfall spreading over four kilometers, comparable to the…

In the summers of 2016 and 2017, a small research team endured harsh conditions on the Greenland Ice Sheet to gather data about the aerosols above it. These tiny particles carry crucial information about the elements that contribute to glacial ice loss, making them invaluable in the fight against climate change. In a new study published in Environmental Science and Technology, this team reported that aerosols contain significant amounts of mineral dust, which can feed phosphorus to hungry, ice-melting algae. “This study’s findings are important,” said Jasper Kok, an atmospheric physicist at the University of California, Los Angeles, who was…
Pac-Man was always such a harmless soul, lost in the labyrinth of his own mind, chased by ghostly memories of his past and finding succour in a trail of psychoactive dots and the occasional fruit. He always seemed so happy. Or at least preoccupied. He was never the same after the werewolf attack. He’s so grumpy now. And he’s completely abandoned vegetarianism… Striated Frogfish, also known as Hairy Frogfish, are aptly named. They’re Striated because they’re stripy and they’re Hairy because they go around in a yeti costume.Oh, and they’re Frogfish because they’re… Frogfish. Did you guess? I was thinking of…

Reference : Ras Tantra Saar and Siddha prayog Sangreha Classical Indication : Grehani Introduction Impaired Agni causes Grahani, leading to incomplete digestion, malabsorption, irregular stools, mucus discharge, and weakness, as described in Charaka Samhita. When digestive fire weakens, the small intestine fails to properly retain and transform food. PiyushValliRas actively rekindles Agni, digests Ama, and stabilizes bowel movements. Its Deepana, Pachana, and Grahi properties strengthen intestinal tone and enhance nutrient absorption. The synergistic ingredients reduce inflammation, control chronic diarrhea, and restore digestive balance, thereby helping manage persistent Grahani effectively. Let;s discuss this formulation in detail and see how it helps…
The Alarming Truth: If Hindus Do Not Build Institutions in the West Now, We May Lose Our Voice Forever There are moments in a civilization’s life when delay is no longer a trivial lapse—it becomes a direct threat to its future. Moments when hesitation is not harmless, but catastrophic, when the comforting illusion that “someone else will take care of it” quietly mutates into a historic failure. Hindu civilization has arrived at such a moment, and the cost of inaction now will be paid by generations yet unborn. Sanātana Dharma has withstood assaults far more brutal than most cultures could…
Traditional corporate training programs are often designed to deliver knowledge rather than develop skills. Employees attend workshops, complete modules, or pass quizzes, yet struggle to apply what they’ve learned when faced with real workplace situations. This happens because skills such as communication, negotiation, or conflict resolution cannot be developed through passive learning alone. They require consistent practice and exposure to realistic environments. Some common limitations of traditional training include:One-way knowledge delivery without interactionLimited opportunities for hands-on practicePoor retention of learned conceptsLack of real-world scenario trainingBecause of these limitations, employees may feel unprepared or lack confidence when dealing with customers, managing teams, or…

In 1856, American scientist Eunice Foote made history by publishing the first academic paper demonstrating that carbon dioxide traps heat from the Sun, a discovery that laid the foundation for climate science. Over the next 170 years, researchers have tested and built on that insight with the rigor of the scientific method, publishing hundreds of thousands of peer-reviewed studies that have not only affirmed Foote’s original finding but also revealed the grave consequences of unchecked greenhouse gas emissions. The EPA’s 2009 Endangerment Finding was grounded in this extensive body of research. It formally recognized that carbon dioxide, methane, and other greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare, providing the legal basis for regulating emissions…

For the last three years, we have launched our autumn membership special offer by saying that ‘in a rapidly changing world, our wild plants have never been more in need of the support, understanding and appreciation that BSBI is uniquely placed to provide’. We’d love to be able to report that we’ve reached our strategic goal of ‘a world where wild plants thrive and are valued and understood’ but sadly, we are not there yet. Our Plant Atlas 2020 analyses and summary reports flagged how British and Irish wild flowers, and the many other species of wildlife who depend on them, are increasingly threatened. The…

Why Ayurveda Looks at Tissue Health Differently In Ayurveda, health is not measured by symptoms alone. It is assessed by how well the body is nourished over time. Rather than isolating individual organs or systems, Ayurveda observes the body through layers of nourishment known as dhatus. These bodily tissues reflect how well digestion, absorption, circulation, metabolism and regeneration are functioning together. When the dhatus are well nourished, the body feels steady, resilient, hydrated and supported. Skin has clarity. Energy is stable. Recovery feels easier. Immunity feels strong. When nourishment breaks down at any stage, imbalance begins to appear slowly and…
From opposing Vande Mataram to openly advocating Bharat’s partition, the past decade has seen a steady stream of radical, anti-Bharat statements from influential Evangelical and church-linked figures, revealing an ideological hostility to Bharat’s civilizational identity, unity and institutions. While public discourse often highlights Islamist separatism and radicalism, these documented incidents show that powerful Evangelical networks are equally involved in narratives that undermine national symbols, question Bharat’s sovereignty, and normalise separatist imaginations. Vande Mataram dispute: targeting a national symbol On 17 February 2026 in Vijayawada, the Andhra Pradesh Christian Leaders Forum (APCLF) publicly opposed the government directive mandating all six stanzas…

Allan Trott’s (mistake-free?) knot garden at Ashburton in Aotearoa/New ZealandWhen I asked my wife what she thought of my most recent book, The Sceptical Botanist, Lynda said she’d only flipped through but all good so far. Oh, and there were a couple of surnames misspelled.Everyone who gets feedback – public or private – is waiting for the sting in the tail. It doesn’t matter how gushing the praise, a single ‘but’, ‘if only’ or ‘it would have been better’ turns a barely contained smirk into a simpering smile. The reviews have been (so far) positive and generous, but I can’t find quickly…
Could you give us an example where you have piloted such an approach and extended it?In the legacy products space, I had a great opportunity to collaborate with affiliates in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. We said, ‘What if we come together, use the technology and data we have, and co-create an end-to-end campaign? What would success look like?’ We brought together the people from business, commercial, marketing, and we experimented. We started with small tests and created a proof of concept for one country and disease area, then we tested our ability to scale the model’s reach beyond that. Now…

Prunella vulgaris can be found all over the place. It has also been used to treat just about everything. What else would you expect from a plant known commonly as self-heal, heal-all, all-heal, and woundwort? The medicinal value of this plant has been appreciated for centuries across its expansive range, and studies evaluating its medicinal use continue today. Being such a ubiquitous species – both as a garden plant and a native plant (and also a common weed) – and because it has so much clout in the world of herbal medicine, it’s an obvious candidate for Tea Time. Self-heal…

Some creatures make a living by pretending to be something they’re not. (Like Halloween, every day!) In one high-flying example, zone-tailed hawks fool prey down on the ground by mimicking the way turkey vultures fly, and sometimes even disguising themselves by flying among turkey vultures. Turkey vultures are scavengers, which means they eat “carrion,” the decaying flesh of animals that are already dead. When turkey vultures soar overhead, small animals don’t need to run for cover. They often recognize the vultures’ silhouettes and know they’re not in danger. Zone-tailed hawks, on the other hand, are predators. They hunt and kill live prey, including lizards, snakes,…
This solar eclipse in Aquarius may be ground breaking and life shifting in so many ways. This is the first eclipse in a new cycle of eclipses across the Leo/Aquarius axis, which is a clue that a two-year pattern of change and adjustment is now beginning. Collectively, eclipses in Leo and Aquarius can shake up leadership roles and describe evolving dynamics between the people and the leaders they look too. Solar eclipses in Leo and Aquarius – like the one on February 17 – can show leaders losing their position, like a change to who is in charge. Personally, look…

What often gets lost are the rulers who rebuilt the ground under those empires. One such ruler was Yashovarman of Kannauj — a king who stepped into a fractured age and stitched the region back into coherence. Most readers today barely recognise his name.Yet his era sits at a crucial turning point in North India’s story. This is the deeper look he deserves. The World After Harsha: A Region on the Edge To understand Yashovarman, you have to understand the chaos he walked into. Harsha had ruled large parts of North India. His court in Kannauj attracted scholars, diplomats, travellers, and traders. But…
What Is An eLearning Bootcamp And Does Your Organization Need One? You may be familiar with the term “boot camp,” which is often associated with fitness training or military training. It typically refers to an intensive program that equips participants with essential physical and mental skills. However, we will not discuss weight lifting or squats, but rather the concept of boot camps in the world of learning. So, what is a boot camp learning program, and why are Instructional Designers, L&D professionals, and corporate trainers so inclined to include them in their training strategies? That’s what we will discover in…
You should make kombucha (чайный гриб or chayniy grib) at home to drink and for your children to drink. It is good for you, it is very cheap to make, and it is simple to maintain. You may not know this, but you should also give some kombucha to your chickens. Kombucha is good for chickens in many ways. Strangely, other than feeding chickens the old pellicles, I do not hear many reports of people giving kombucha to their hens. Given all the health claims surrounding kombucha, and the abundance of studies on animals demonstrating kombucha’s positive effects, along with all the…
Credit: franganillo/Pixabay Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly becoming central to environmental decision-making. But unless women’s voices, labor and lived realities are embedded in its foundations, it risks reinforcing the very inequities it claims to solve. In many parts of the world, women stand on the frontlines of climate stress. According to the United Nations, if current trends continue, an estimated 341 million women will still lack electricity in 2030—85 percent of them in sub-Saharan Africa—and forced to depend on costly, labor-intensive fuels. Women around the world also collectively spend 200 million hours, the equivalent of nearly 23,000 years, hauling water every day instead of studying, earning or participating in public life; a large AI data center can consume up to 5 million gallons of water a day to keep their servers cool. As women ration every bucket…
The TCD Botany-Zoology Postgraduate Symposium made its annual return this month on the 7th and 8th of March for its 13th edition. This is a time when postgraduates and research assistants from the departments in the School of Natural Sciences could showcase their work and gain valuable experience presenting to peers. There was a diverse range of talks spanning from climate change, to fossilised plants, and a post-doctorate discussion panel. We also had the pleasure of hearing from the two keynote speakers Anja Murray who has had an extensive career in policy and media and talked about her expansive career…

“How do I do this again?” If that question keeps popping up, you’re looking at a learning problem. Work changes fast. New tools arrive, roles grow, and processes shift. Often, the training just doesn’t keep up. That gap is learning debt. It builds up quietly and shows up in small ways. Like a normal week turning into a scramble because one key person is on vacation. Let’s look at what this looks like in daily work, why we ignore it, and how to start paying it down. What’s learning debt? Simply put, learning debt is the gap between what people…
March is a tricky month for predicting flowers. The weather prognosticators have gotten a little better over the years, but predicting more than two weeks in advance can be a dangerous business. We can all remember years when a long period of mild weather over the winter is suddenly interrupted by an unexpected plunge into the deep freeze, just as flowers are opening. Certainly, the winter of […] The post March in the Garden 2026 appeared first on UBC Botanical Garden. [Disclaimer: The content in this RSS feed is automatically fetched from external sources. Currently, RIKEN is a national research institute in Japan, but it was originally founded as a private research foundation in 1917, called the RIKEN Foundation. In 1921, Masatoshi Ōkōchi (1878–1952) became its third president , and for over 25 years greatly contributed to both the development of RIKEN and the modernization of Japan’s efforts in science and technology. Malay tapirs are glorious. These adorable animals spend their time innocently wandering around the rainforests of Southeast Asia, blissfully grazing on foliage and keeping to themselves. Often disguised in the deep undergrowth, they rarely encounter humans face to face, so we actually know surprisingly little about them. But what we do know is shocking. The forests they call home have become a literal death trap. The trails they use daily have been filled with tiger snares, and tapirs are being caught in the crossfire. The effect is devastating. The poorly sighted tapirs, who try so hard to stay out of trouble, end up walking right into…
Email WhatsApp LinkedIn Twitter Messenger Facebook These war cycles are becoming more complex and protracted. At this point, given the cycle highs due for gold and silver in April, we have to assume the Iran mess could drag out longer than we would like. At publication, the attack has started, and a mid-March peak of energy for such an attack, culminating in the Mars/Rahu/Mercury conjunction March 13-15, which tends to cause verbal fighting and accelerate anger. The tight Jupiter aspect from Gemini will be supportive, and Venus in Pisces in March will also help make it less messy than it…
Gallstones are hardened or solid deposits of digestive fluid that form in the gallbladder, which is a small pear-shaped organ that is located beneath the liver, to the right of the abdomen. This organ is responsible for storing and releasing bile, a digestive fluid, into the small intestine, thereby aiding digestion. Bile also carries bilirubin and cholesterol, which are waste products that the body produces while breaking down RBCs. These waste products can lead to the formation of gallstones. Gallstones can be as large as a golf ball as well as the size of a grain of sand. The number…

For Amani Samba, entrepreneurship was never just an idea. It was something he was already living. With a background in IT and years of experience working on technology solutions such as access control systems and CCTV, he built a strong technical foundation early in his career. Alongside his professional work, he spent six to seven years developing entrepreneurial projects with his wife. Over time, those side ventures led him to a clear realization. He wanted to take what they had built and scale it properly. “I wanted to equip myself with academic knowledge to enhance the business,” Amani explains. While…

Modern scientific publishing is often portrayed as a neutral system advancing knowledge through merit and debate, but in practice it operates as a competitive economy of prestige, metrics, and scarcity. Academic survival increasingly depends on publishing frequently and rapidly in a narrow set of high-impact journals, shaping not only how research is evaluated but also which questions are asked and which ideas are abandoned before discussion. In this environment, conformity is often rewarded over originality, as researchers—especially those early in their careers—are encouraged to align with dominant frameworks endorsed by senior figures. Rather than fostering intellectual risk and innovation, the…

In the previous reflection, we entered the heart of the Srimad Bhagavata, where Shuka narrated the sacred conversation between Sri Hari and His son Brahma, culminating in the Chatushloki—the four seed verses in which Bhagavan revealed the very essence of Being. In these verses, knowledge was grounded not in argument or speculation, but in direct vision and realization of the Supreme. Having unveiled the asharya-tattva in its purest form, the Bhagavata now unfolds its inner architecture. Here, Sri Shuka, answering King Parikshit, delineates the ten great themes through which this supreme truth is progressively revealed. What follows is not a…

In March 2026, we are in full swing of eclipse season. On March 3rd, we have a Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo, bringing culminations, adjustments, and very real-world consequences. At the same time, we are still integrating the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries from February – the reset that marked the official beginning of a new era. And yet, while the new era has technically begun, we are still processing the previous one. Pisces energy is still strong in March, with several planets lingering in the last sign of the zodiac. This creates a very particular atmosphere – part closure,…

Why can’t Cosmic Energy be an alternative for Spirits? There are different kinds of activities happening continuously around the world. Most of the time, it seems that whatever happens around us is supposed to be happening by humans. But humans do nothing to let incidents happen, just like earthquakes, floods, storms, rain, solar eclipse, lunar eclipse or processes like tree growth, fruitification, cell multiplication, etc.If humans don’t do such things, then who may be doing this? Tigers, elephant-like animals, can’t do this because they don’t have such senses. It means many things around us in this universe are happening on their own. But…

California Trees: A Field Guide to the Native Species Review by Brett Hall California’s native trees have always invited curiosity. They shape our watersheds, provide us with oxygen, anchor our sense of place, and stand as some of the oldest living beings on Earth. In California Trees: A Field Guide to the Native Species, Matt Ritter and Michael Kauffmann have created a field guide that does more than help readers learn their names. It deepens a relationship. The book begins with the simple yet profound idea that identification is only a first step; understanding a tree’s story, its ecological role,…

In the vast pantheon of Hindu deities, Lord Rama stands out as a shining beacon of righteousness and virtue. Revered as the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, Rama is affectionately known as “Maryada Purushottam,” which translates to “the perfect man” or “the epitome of righteousness.” This title encapsulates the essence of Rama’s character and his profound impact on Hindu theology and philosophy. Understanding Lord Rama: Lord Rama‘s life, as depicted in the ancient Hindu epic, the Ramayana, is replete with tales of heroism, sacrifice, and unwavering adherence to dharma, the cosmic order that upholds righteousness and moral conduct. Born into…
Shouting into the void is what it feels like when you speak to be heard, to add to the conversation, and realise no one is really listening. Not because they disagree. Not because they’ve thought it through and rejected it. But because they’re already busy with their own noise. Everyone has a view. Everyone has a platform. Everyone is ready to respond. Fewer are prepared to pause, to listen, to hear. You can speak up, raise something in a measured and reasonable way and watch it pass straight by. The room isn’t hostile. It’s distracted. The audience isn’t opposed. It’s…
