Simply put, our North Node in our birth chart symbolizes a cosmically suggested life direction that’s likely to bring us the most growth and development. The sign of our North node would indicate a style or a strategy we could employ for maximum effectiveness, while the house position suggests the area of life experience that we most need to focus on in the overall scheme of things. As a result of the North Node’s position in the 2nd House, the South Node would naturally be located in its opposite house, the 8th. When the 2nd and 8th house come together, questions arise surrounding who’s the rightful “owner” of objects, resources, talents, feelings, attitudes and assessments.
In general, the South Node house indicates an area where we may be overly entrenched or entangled. While we may be proficient in dealing with the themes as indicated by that house, this doesn’t foster any new growth for us. It’s largely by reclamation and activation of the material surrounding the North Node house that true and lasting growth takes place. At best, we could say that the South node repurposed can support us in North Node ventures.
With the North Node in the 2nd House, it’s of utmost importance that you (1) “Own” and rely on your talents and (2) Become an authority on and become solidly rooted in your true worth. It’s apparent that your “price tag” needs to be calculated based on internal evaluation system as opposed to being placed in the hands of “others.” What’s important to you must now take center stage and what other people value, at best should be relegated to your periphery and perhaps even your rear view.
What comes into focus with the 2nd/8th nodal axis activated is a deeply resonate history of preoccupation with the thoughts and opinions of other people. The way forward for you is to shift that investment into yourself and the refining of your natural talents and abilities. The focus now needs to be on how you can use what you have to support yourself materially and become a tangible embodiment of that to which you aspire.
There’s more elaborate direction which says : don’t play yourself short”. The days of “nickeling and diming” have run their course. You are now moving into becoming your own authority on what you’re capable of producing and earning. And, most importantly: what you deserve. Your self-esteem need not be in the hands of anyone else and if you find circumstances shifting in this way, you’ll need to place the ball back into your court pronto.
If you have the North Node in the 2nd House, your theme song is “Know My Worth” by Supastition featuring Boog Brown. You can Listen here:
