Join us for BranchingOUT, an evening at UBC Botanical Garden celebrating the 2SLGBTQIA+ community while connecting with nature!
When: Thursday, July 23rd 2026, 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Where: UBC Botanical Garden Entrance, 6804 SW Marine Dr., Vancouver BC
What to Expect
After some light refreshments and a welcome from Scott Ferguson (BranchingOUT co-founder and resident diva), you’ll have a chance to explore the Asian Garden. Learn something new at our Sassy Botanical Stations, traverse the Greenheart TreeWalk and enjoy being surrounded by biodiversity!
We’re bringing back local vendors and, new for this year, we’ll have live music supported by UBC’s Blank Vinyl Project. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase while supplies last.
One of our key priorities is for BranchingOUT to be financially accessible and sustainable for everyone. To help ensure we can keep hosting this event in the future, there are four tiers of tickets:
- 🌟 Low-Barrier Ticket ($5): Limited number of tickets for guests who cannot afford Subsidized or True Cost tickets.
- ❤️ Concession Ticket ($10): For guests with limited income.
- 🌺 True Cost Ticket ($22): For guests with the means to cover the cost of refreshments and event materials.
- 💎 BranchingOUT Supporter Ticket ($50): For guests with the means to help support the cost of the event and admission for other community members.
Your ticket type will remain anonymous and will not change your BranchingOUT experience. Please email zahra.chan-khan@ubc.ca if the admission cost is a barrier.
