A couple of weeks ago I was emailed about an “exciting opportunity.” I mean, who isn’t available for an exciting opportunity right?!
It was a cut and paste HR style email telling me how wonderful my contribution to the astrological community is and how valued my insights are.
The email was from a company building an AI astrology report service who wanted my expertise in seeing if the AI was on par with what a professional astrologer could provide.
In return, I was offered a free report of my own.
How salubrious! – insert eyeroll here!
No offer of payment, a collaboration or partnership. Just my 22 years in professional practice, for free. All to build AI designed to attempt to put real astrologers out of work and diminish their own contributions to the astrological community, something they apparently value and appreciate.
To be honest with you, I cannot stand AI. Have I used it before? Sure, I’ve whipped up some YouTube thumbnails with it and created Instagram posts within the Canva platform.
Have I ever used it to brainstorm my ideas, ask it opinions or outsource my intuition or inner knowing?
F*CK NO!
I will also say F*CK NO to anything that would jeopardise the art of astrology itself, those who practice it with genuine intention and have actual contributions to make to the community, their livelihoods and astrology as a whole. Not those who farm information, repackage it and sell it back to you as AI slop.
You deserve better than that.
What you do with AI is your choice. Mine is to give it the widest orb possible. I refuse to use self-serve checkouts if there are staff to do the job that I’m covertly being coerced into doing for free. I refuse to use QR code menus when dining out. I refuse to make choices that go against my own inner knowing because those of assumed authority say it’s safe, effective or whatever.
That is the true rebellion of the Aquarius North Node and Pluto.
Not conformity.
Not going with the herd.
Not surrendering sovereignty or principles for ease or comfort.
And most certainly not embracing “the warmth of collectivism.” That ends well for no one, except those to whom you surrendered your power to. History will tell you that.
True sovereignty is when you know what is important, what you value and what you’re not willing to negotiate or compromise on for the sake of acceptance or inclusion.
It arrives when you can lead from the front and hold your place in the centre. It’s when you stand for something regardless of the cost. Regardless of what the opinions of the majority are.
The Leo South Node demands you strip away the persona, the ego, the part of you that seeks validation, adoration and attention.
With Jupiter, you’re being asked to have faith in yourself, in a higher power and to know that your individual contribution is valuable and important.
Together, Jupiter and the South Node ask you to redefine your mission, your purpose and the meaning of your life and to restoke the fire and magic inside your heart. Something AI can never have on you.
Today, the Full Moon in Aquarius happens conjunct Pluto.
Jupiter, the planet of faith, wisdom and inspiration has been cleansed by the Sun, strong, powerful and potent in Leo.
While this Full Moon is not an eclipse, it will certainly spotlight the Nodal story of the next 18 months for you personally as well as collectively.
It will certainly feel eclipsey.
The choices you make matter.
So will the ones you don’t.
Choose with the wisdom, clarity and magic you have within YOU.
